GT Meter on an XS?

Jeff (IL)

Member
Can someone confirm that the GT meter does NOT work on the older Sovereigns? I've heard the GT requires slightly more voltage?

If it did work that would be a nice alternative choice for me instead of a used DTI II which seem to be hard to find.

Thanks,

Jeff

I dont know about different voltages but I just hooked up a Sov digisearch meter that came with my GT onto a 8" coinsearch coil and then into a Sov XS control box and tested it with quarters and dimes and after setting it to 180 it hit on 180 consistently with those coins.
Hope that helps you,
Neil
