GTA 1000

I've got a 1000 PM (power-master circuitry) that I've been using since the mid-nineties and it's a capable machine. I've picked up five coils for it, but now it mostly wears a 5.5" HotHead coil.
It has alot of nice features and can be a good deal on the "used" market. Mine has found alot of jewelry and coins for me over the years. The target ID seems as good as any.
Doesn't hit nickels as hard as my 250, however, but has better target seperation than my 1500 had.
Mind if I ask how much they are asking? You might be better off with a 250 if the asking price is too high.

Really about the only bad things are it weighs more than the Ace 250 & does not have a comfortable handrest, which is larger than my arm, not in shape on an arm, so my arm rolls around not in sync with the detector sweep. But I suppose it might be possible to come up with something to correct this. HH, George (MN)

If it's the Ultra, you might want to pass on it. The PowerMaster will get about an extra 2" depth. I've got both and there is a difference.
