Will the Crossfire II series of coils as used on the GTAX detector work on the GTI 1500?
According to the Garrett web site the GTI uses the "Scorcher" series of coils and not the "Crossfire II" series, however, the manual states the GTI 1500 can use the "five GTI Crossfire coils".
Kind of confusing so I wanted to clarify. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

AS far as I know the Crossfires don't fit the GTI's.

Hi! Keith,
The Garrett XFire coils for the GTAx series detectors won't work with the GTI series detectors.
Not only are they different, but the plugs are different.
There is a good range of coils available for the GTI series detectors.

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunantly, I already have 4 coils for the GTAx 550. Guess I'll have to sell them and the detector now that I traded for a GTI 1500.
