GTI 1500 Ground Balance Question...

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the ground tracking on the GTI 1500. If you activate the Salt Mode while hunting parks, schools, etc., does it add to the cancelling of mineralized gound with the standard ground tracking or does it shut off the ground track and only run in the salt mode? I have some spots that have some high mineralization and was wondering if the salt mode would help getting addional depth.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Any discrimination or filters that are enabled on any machine does not enhance depth. If anything it would reduce the amount of depth the machine is capable of achieving. Salt elimination is to help the machine stabilize while running it on a salt water beach to prevent erratic falsing. Which is really not falsing at all, the machine is actually detecting the minerals in the sand. A DD coil would probably help you out in the situation your referring to.
