Got out for a couple hours after work to hunt a new small field I got permission on. The first 15 minutes into it I got a signal that register just under the penney, then 3 inches down I thought it was a large piece of iron, and to my surprise out came this US Box Plate.
If I did not find another thing it was alright, my night was made.
The soil where I hunted was hard as concrete, area's of solid iron trash, but did get a couple piees of lead, and on the left of the pic is an old lipstick case, with some written enscription on it.
Gonna go back and hunt again another evening, as the temps cool down some.
