I took my GTI 2500 to the beach today and tested out some new ideas I have found from reading these forums and watching various videos. I haven't had much luck in the wet sand with my machine until today. I set my autotrack to fast, Salt Elimination on, my sensitivity to 6 then 7 after a while, and jewelry mode, and I gotta say I didn't have any false signals even when a small wave would wash over my coil, very exciting! The only thing I found in the very short time I was out was a clad quarter, but it was 6-7 inches down
So at least I know it was working. My TH just purred along without much change at all until I hit the coin, then nice solid bell tone and target ID said quarter! I know everyone says the GTI 2500 is not a good wet sand machine, but it seems my horizons just broadened a little. At least until I can buy my Infinium in a couple of weeks!

I hope that you have a big, long handled scoop! You're gonna need it!
Happy Hunting!
