GTI 2500 Question..

I have noticed when I find a Target I push on the treasure imagine (pinpoint) and the unit turns it self off 
Has anyone with a GTI 2500 had this happen to them on found a reason why it does this? thanks happy

My GTI 2000 started doing that. Or it will get stuck with half the LCD display words stuck on and the volume funky. I have to do a factory reset by holding the power down for 10 seconds to clear. Frustrating. Sometimes the volume just shuts off and I'll be swinging for 10 minutes before I realize there's no sound. I keep a super low threshold, but sometimes I zone out and start thinking about other things and forget there is supposed to be a threshold sound.
I'm gonna replace the guts and turn it into a 2500 anyway, so hopefully the problem will go away when I send it in for the upgrade.
