GTI Coil Question

What's The deference between The White image coil and the Black one ? .......I'M looking to buy a used 2500 and they all seem to be the white coils?

The white coils were the originals, the black ones are the later ones. The black ones are more rugged (Rhino tough they call them), and are heavier.

It will help date the machine by the coil you see on it. Of course, that will not tell you how much the machine has been used.

I seldom even use the Imaging coils for my GTI 2500, but when I do, I use the original stock(white)imaging coil. I like it better because it's lighter and pinpoint better in my opinion. I have the rhinotough ones, but I never use 'em. Some people luv 'em though.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

The white coil is basically hollow and light while the other is solid, poured, epoxy and is tougher and more stable. Nothing wrong with the original white coil. Ih fact I prefer it due to the lighter weight.
