My neighbor, grew up in the house I bought. She says she lost her class ring in the back yard. So I was out hunting for it last Sunday. I didn't find her's but I did find s gold class ring. Class of 78. It belonged to a girl who was engaged to her son. He had it on a chain around his neck when he lost it back in 78! I tracked down the owner and will hopefully reunite her with her ring 35 years after it was lost!

Nice going Oakman ! I know she will be thrilled to get her ring back. Bet she never expected that to happen !
Would make a good story for Garrett too, especially on the return. What a great thing you are doing !
Good hunting to you ! Gene

Excellent find Oakman.
.
Thank you for attempting the to get it back to the owner.
All of us in the hobby benefit from that type of sportsmanship.

I love hearing about lost items getting back to their owners because of our hobby. Someday I hope to be able to do this too. Keep it up!

Thank you every one for the kind words. What ended up making this story more special is; My wife found her on facebook. Her facebook page listed her hobbies. She organizes her high school class reunuions! We have been talking to her thru FB messanger. She is beyond words (her words) to get it back 37 years after losing it! I just mailed it to her today. Its on its way to Candor NY! I also submitted my story to the Searcher.

This is really great Oakman ! Doesn't get much better than this !
What you have done will reach many, many people. No doubt about it.
Looking forward to seeing your story in The Searcher.
Good hunting to you ! Gene
