i have been watching the thread about wireless headphones. i was the only one to reply to it. no one has had any luck with them? i also am not a fan of having the wire either. like i said, the ones i have are nice. just have the slight feedback in them when i get a tone. this spring am planning to get the gray ghosts, black widow or the killer bee wasps. but, would rather have some good wireless ones. any suggestions anyone?

There are good wireless headset units out there. They come built for their company's machine like the Dues for example.

Now there is a wireless unit I have seen listed and referred to on the forums that is discontinued. Think was a Rad Shack product, not sure.

As for a good universal that will compliment our tesoros I haven't heard of one being talked about.

Do let us know if you find a unit out there though.,

Killer B Wasp is my favorite. They work great with Tesoro detectors.

If you have great wired headphones already, you can turn them into wireless with the BTunes plug. It's available on Kickstarter.com. http://kck.st/1xvx4Bh

I also use the TDK700 headphones, work very good on my T2,DFX,Tesoro and my Pulse, they do give you some form of freedom, one thing i will highlight with them is that if no noise comes from the detector the TDK headphones shut down after 2-3minutes to save batteries but all my machines that i have mention have a constant threshold hum so they dont swotch off.

As these headphones are not bluetooth then no noticable delay is heard which of course is the biggest problem with the bluetooth option,i am pleased overal with the TDK phones, they do have a small transmitter than plugs into the headphone socket but i normally use a 6-8'' extension cable and plug the transmitter into that, this allows me to mount the transmitter better and out of possible harms way.

No after market wireless headphone setup is perfect but i find these TDK ones nearly as perfect and they certainly get my vote, battery life is i am finding about 20 hours but its wise to carry spare ones with you just incase,of course do you own research and make the final decison as what works well for me may not work for other folks.

This ^

Ive used the TDK700 for about a year now with Tesoro, Fisher, and Minelab detectors and think they work just fine. My battery life is only about 12-14 hours though.

I posted a (very poor) video a while back on Youtube showing how the Outlaw's tone changes with these headphones and also the tonal changes with depth of target. Its not a very good video but it will give you an idea of what a Tesoro sounds like though these headphones--

The voxoom wireless TV headphones system uses low latency Bluetooth for both the transmitter and headphones (~30ms), the transmitter has 3.5mm and TOSLINK inputs. It's worth to check it out http://www.amazon.com/voxoom-wireless-TV-headphones-system/dp/B00N3DELQU
