Member
My very first GUN!!! not sure if it is real or not or the type
very heavy!
OMEGA 8
DISCRIM 27
SENSITIVITY 92
11 INCH COIL
GROUND PHASE 62
DEPTH 13 INCHES
THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ANOTHER CHUNK OF FARM METAL
RANG IN AT 95

ALSO A TOKEN I FOUND THE OTHER DAY / OTHER SIDE HAS A BIG NUMBER 5

Great find on the gun. It certainly appears to be real with its heavy looking frame and also looks to be a style with some age. What kind of spot were you hunting? HH jim tn

I was hunting an area where there is nothing left but the foundation of an old house and some farm equipment lying around.
No lakes or ponds near the area where i found it , just a lot of grown up locust tress and brush.
I have been told by multiple people that Abraham Lincoln had actually stayed at this old home as he traveled through Indiana, so for now and until proven otherwise, this gun belonged to Abe and it was his favorite gun and most prized possession.

nice find on the gun looks like a .38 special to me but you tend to wonder why was that gun left or buried there?

Abraham Lincoln was a great shot with his pistol, but careless with where he left it:shrug:
I guess he had more important things on his mind! A terrific find!

looks real to me, good find

Wow, It look like a 36 cal. Pocket from colt. Wow nice token.

Now that is a neat find! Don't run across one of those every day

maybe run it down to your local csi dept. and see if ol' abe left a print. wouldn't that be something?

actually, i went out the very next day and dug up another gun!!!
This one was just an old metal toy go though / but definitely was a gun weekend

I was a gunsmith in another life and I was glad to help.
