Gunnar your videos did me in...Got a Vaquero on the way

Combination of watching your videos Gunnar and reading and re-reading Mastering the the Tesoro Tejon and Vaquero book convinced me. Just got off the phone with Rusty and have a new Vaquero on the way. I find myself mainly hunting our farm fields and woods these days where for me tone id and vdi's are not necessary. I like the single tone experience. I'm hoping being able to tweak the ground balance, hunting in true all metal mode and super tuning in disc mode will give me an edge over my Silver Umax. For me hunting with lightweight Tesoro unit in a woods is sort of a Zen experience. I'll post back once I start making some finds. Mike

its going to work good in the farm & woods, and will be a marked improvement over the umax, I was thinking of getting the NEL 12"x13 for farm fields, but for now the 8x9 will do . yes let us know how things go .

im sure you will be pleased with it ohiomike. i been detecting a lot in the woods along 4wheeler and snowmobile trails here in maine. find loads of shell casings. i hope the price of scrap brass is up at the end of summer.haha, good luck...

I think you will love the vaq. Do not sell your silver umax. That also is a great detector. Also one for a friend or family member to use... KEN. Ind

Thanks guys for the responses. I've heard good things about the Nel coils Gunnar. If you get one please share your thoughts. Checked tracking and it's due to be delivered next Tue. I hope I can get a few days in the fields before the farmer who rents our land plants. Either way I'll be hitting our woods and some ball fields. Btw, it was an absolute delight dealing with Rusty & Jeannene Henry today.
Mike
