Ha, just want to meet more people who likes to detect. My wife got me a detector for X-mas and have been out useing it 5 times with my wifw Pam and Nikki my daughter. We really like to do it. I have a lot of time right now sense I closed my business. Am a firefighter is my career-fulltime. Have alot of time now. Need help on any info. you all mine to share.

You have found one of the best sites out there for metal detecting. Best of luck to you! My wife gos out detecting with me a lot of the time,she loves to read. I'll go detecting and she "gets into" her books. It is a fun hobby and the first time you find an 1800's coin, or thick gold ring you will be hooked. The best research is finding places where people would gather and alot of the old timers will be more than happy to tell you where they did the jitter-bug in in the 1940's Hell's a poppin and coins a flying.
