today I was detecting another buddies house, he said he thinks it is 1920 area of age. Anyhow I am finding lots of modern coins, some more wheats (finding a LOT of wheats this week) and my first ever half dollar, that was cool.

anyhow, the neighbor who is outside doing yard work is watching me and I thought I'd go over and chat with him. I asked him how old the house was I was detecting and he replied, not sure. But then he tells me his house was the first house built on that street and it was 130+ years old. Next thing out of his mouth was
"if you want to dig in my yard, feel free to do so!" :clapping:

he tells me he has lived there since 1970 and no one has ever detected it in the 38 years he has lived there. So I explained to him I only have about 2 hours per day free time before work, and as soon as I get my buddies house done I will be right over, and thanked him over and over.

So I am not posting any pics today I will finish this yard and post up everything at once. Today so far I got 23 coins, including a half dollar (1972) 3 more wheaties, a match box car. I think this yard has some silver...........well I am HOPING :wiggle:

What a stroke of luck that was...to meet such a kindly man

Can't wait to see pics of all the finds

Good going on the finds and on the great invite to detect his yard whenever you want to do so! A house that is 130 plus years old has to have some really old silver coins in it and so good luck and God bless in finding the Seated Liberties and the Barbers and etc. Be patient and they will come! Remember, since you have time to do the yard again, swing low and slow......

Always talk with everyone about it, and you will be surprised on the yards that open up! There should be Indians there! :)
