I should clarify in the picture there is four 90% silvers two are 63 Franklins, two are 64 Kennedy's
the other nine are 40% kennedy's

about $52 worth of silver according to todays silver price :clapping:
give a few details for those of us who might be thinking of trying that ? Thanks, steve in so az
coin roll hunting details? I just buy 2 boxes a week at my bank sort for silver then dump them at another bank. NEVER EVER dump at the bank you buy at. My supply bank gets coins from Brinks, and my dump bank deals with Guarda

A good day NO! A great day Yes! I had a friend that used to go and ask for odd coins that the banks didn't want and she would buy Silver $, halves and other asst. coins!

They probably felt sorry for her, as she looked so skinny and old for her age! She has since passed away from breast cancer! I miss her too, as we went out a lot together to detect!

God Bless!

Nice going, Goes4ever! I have to try that..never ever thought of that venue...great idea!

There's a lot of people doing this now. Every time I go I am finding "marked" rolls that have already been gone through and we live in Smalltown USA. I am curious if your boxes are like ours here in NY, are they 500.00 boxes? One bank we use has a 1000.00 minimum. Some of those 40%ers need a close look as they don't stand out as well as the 90%ers. Another note, one bank we use will not exchange any coins for us until they confirm we have an account. I also note that some tellers aren't very friendly about it but some have gone out of their way to help by checking with the other tellers. My wife likes going through the rolls with me, no great finds yet but we're just gettin started!
whats a brinks box?
Brinks is the company that brings the coins. Have you heard of Brinks armored trucks? yes they are $500 boxes

Hi Paul, Most banks have to order them. You can go to your local bank and ask for Rolls of half dollars, most banks have some on hand, keep in mind many people are now doing this. If you see the roll is marked it was probably already searched. Sincerely, Tim
So you go to the bank and ask for these $500 boxes or do you have to order them up?

Respectfully,
FooserPaul
I order them each week
