Had a great hunt today! The Sequel "Big Silver"

Went back to my mom's boyfriend's house today to hit the front yard and side of the house. He told me it was built around 1910, it's a double lot and looks as though there was another home between him and his neighbor at some point. In the beginning he made a joke about finding enough money to go to McDonald's. So, for the rest of the day, every time I found clad I would give it to him and say " looks like we found some more cheeseburger money" I must admit having a man his age follow me around getting excited and acting like a eight year old kid every time I dug a target was kinda funny and yet creepy at the same time.:wiggle: It was good fun and I may have a future hunting buddy. I found 13 more wheats. Seems every other target was a wheat cent I was almost tired of digging them. Then the silver started coming. I hit two rosies maybe six inches apart. I the got a 1890 "V" nickel. It's red and pretty worn. The usual clad and trash n between the good stuff. I first thought the silver ring was a hose clamp but after a few minutes of looking the "sterling" stamp showed itself. The 1902 Barber quarter came in loud and clear no doubt about that one. The big surprise was the 1942 Walker. I was getting a mixed signal of dime and iron. I was thinking trash but hoping to squeak out a dime. Popped the plug and seen the shiny rim sticking out the side wall double checked the hole with the pro pointer and was still getting a hit. I thought "pocket spill" , nope, it was a big rusted iron bolt. It was about two inches to the right of the Walker and about an inch or so deeper.:surprised: I also dug a 1891 Indian before I called it a day. Sorry about the bad pics , wife has the camera and I made do with my crappy phone.

Great spot and good work pulling that silver out from next to the iron. I don't imagine that he was making any more 'cheeseburger' remarks after watching you net all those nice oldies!
