Today we had to go and get a pad ready for a deck at a house in town and we had to dig out some of the lawn. After we had the dirt and grass out that needed removing we started to set forms and get it ready for concrete. I was pounding stakes up by the house and just got done with the last one for our screed pipe. I turned around and noticed a coin laying on the ground and I thought it looked like silver a little bit. It was! It turned out to be a 1940-d Mercury Dime. I thought for sure that the coin was going to be scraped up a bit from the Skid-Steer's Bucket or when the boss was turning around in the area and didn't think much about the condition. I went home at noon and cleaned up the Dime and to my amazement, the coin didn't even get touched by the Skid-Steer. It is in great shape and I might just have to see if I can't do some detecting sometime in the yard if the owner grants me permission. A pic of the front and the back are below.[attachment 27333 DimeFront.png][attachment 27334 DimeBack.png]
