Had an accident at work today..

Pete in MI

New member
due to the leaks in the roof the buckets needed to be dumped since we have had some heavy rainfall. One of the leaks in in the ceiling above the "stage" where the DJ has equipment in the bar. Coming down from the ladder I missed the last rung on the ladder, lost my balance and fell off the stage as well. Injured my right arm and right shin. Went to a medical clinic and now have about a week to take things easy. No word from the boss yet as to whether to show up for work or stay away for a week. The way it is written up there is nothing I can really do at work but sit and collect money. Can't see that happening so thinking I'll be off for the week. Hopefully workmens comp will pay for any lost wages.

BTW prayers needed....Casey just got her driver's license today. Pray for safety on the road for her and....everyone else

get well soon. Prayers for Casey too.

Sorry to hear about your accident Pete. Maybe you should make some calls this morning to try to pin them down on what their intentions are as far as Workman's Comp, your schedule, etc. Not to imply that YOUR employer would do any such thing, but I know that a lot of them would like to just sweep it under the rug or let it ride in hopes of getting by without having to do or offer anything at all. Hope you feel better soon.

Well take it easy and I hope it wasn't your swing arm!

My youngest daughter goes in for her first driving test this Saturday, I know the feeling!!!!

Prayers for your healing Pete and for Casey to drive safely! God Bless you all! Betty
