It was such a gorgeous day today with temps of 65. Went close to home where there ain't squat, didn't find squat, and raked in a lousy 97 cents but it was worth it to get out in this grand weather. Some of the school playgrounds were still full of house apes at 4:30. Don't think they ever go home. If it's like this tomorrow I'm going to get an early start, hit my favorite park and soccer fields, and see if I can find a dollar.

I found a dollar today:shocked:

Yep. After 2 hours of hunting on less popular beaches in a strong southerly wind the $1 coin was my scant reward! I guess some days are better than others. Mind you I was SO happy to find that $1 after such a frustrating search.

I did find a heap of lead sinkers which I left on a pole for some lucky fisherman to claim.

Well we haven't seen a superbowl ring on a local player in forever here.
Uncle Willy and I are on the wet side of the state of Washington. Both of us hug the Columbia river...just opposite banks.

I'm from Pa but a BIG DALLAS COWBOYS FAN!!!!!! I was for the Cardinals all the way !:ranting:

Want me to bundle em up and send you some? :) It was even warmer today. Wish this February would be like the last one which was the warmest on record with temps at 80 degrees every day for the month - the kind of weather a guy dreams of.

It waxes and wanes here. They have a saying for the weather here, " If you don't like it wait five minutes and it will change." Even the weather guys can't keep abreast of it. I think they just usually flip a coin. They'll call for a ten percent chance of rain and you look outside and it's pouring down. They must mean all ten percent all at once.

You sound like you are discribing Florida weather to a "T".

Tonight it is supposed to be around 20 where I live! 48 degrees here today. And the next night warmer (23).

Keep that cold up north where it belongs will you guys.

I will not detect a scool yard if it has more than a couple of kids around. It almost always turns into this smelly little hord of chatter boxes crowding around me so tight that I can't swing. No, I don't hate kids. I just hate detecting school grounds when they are around.

Sunday morning at sun rise best time to hit the school yards till about noon.
All the ankle bitters are in there cacoons yet .
