and start siftin. found this old foundation in the woods near home. i hunted arround the site and dug several flat buttons, some silver, and my first usa rev. war buttons. well i tried to hunt inside the foundation and there were handfulls of nails and old roofing materials every where. so i decided to try my hands at siftin. that reminds me. need to buy a pare of gloves. hands are all sliced up and sore this mornin.
hey i kinda like this hobby too. had my best button day the other day, and yesterday i had my best silver day. now i need to learn how to do a multiple pic post. lol SEEYALLATER!!!and HH

why didnt you program the things you found into the explorer s mem.? ive done that in a huge trasy area in the woods and found many minnie balls
 
At a site that early a great find can show up anywhere on your ID, as well as masking becoming a factor with more disc'ed targets.
The program you use might be good at finding bullets but can easily bypass a great button.
 
Your not the first to sift with great results..Friend just did an ancient outhouse and came up with some nice bottles and old coins...
 
that falls into the same exact range. Scanned in LC's in learn mode program. thought I'd just look for Coppers since I found one in an 'unusual place'.
To my surprise, I was digging quarters and dimes left and right. Dah! What size is a quarter? About the same size as a Large Copper! Place was riddled with clad. I quickly bagged that program! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
