Was detecting in one of our local ghetto parks today when next to a large tree I noticed a box cutter and 2 small packets containing some type of "herb". Being a teenager during the '70s I vaguely remember seeing something similar. Knowing the police would be patrolling the area sooner or later, I kept an eye open for a passing cruiser and sure enough after about 10 minutes I flag down a black & white and tell the officer about the items. He came over and retrieved the box cutter and 2 $20.00 packets of pot, thanked me and drove off. I was tempted to pick up the items but figured with my luck, I'd get pulled over on the way home, get searched and arrested for possession. I was just glad to get the stuff out of the park so none of the younger kids would end up with it.
