Half battery

Hello i have one question. When the battery is only working 50% does the x terra 705 work the same?

Thanks!!

Short answer: YES
Short explanation: Stored battery power has little to do with TX/RX power until it drops to a point, at which the machine will tell you it's time to change them.

Read the E-Book he says that you can run the batteries all the way down with no harm or loss of operation on the 705. I run Enloope rechargeable and get about 20 hrs out of a set of four.

You machine voltage is regulated to run the same until your machine tells you it's time to change them out. (descending beeps) I have tested this by running the batteries all the way down with no loss of depth. However when you battery gets real low your machine automatically lowers the volume to conserve the batteries. But your depth is not compromised.

Agreed!

I run mine until it turns off. I can't count the number of times that I have found silver or some other notable coin while detecting on low battery.

One thing we have noticed is that I can run for about a half hour or so after the first low battery warning. My brother and mom don't seem to get anywhere near that much time after the first low battery warning. We all use the same brand and model batteries. Mine is a little older than both of theirs so I'm not sure if it was just how they calibrated that indicator back when mine was made or not. Even if f I'm using a 10.5" coil or the 6" Coiltek coil I still get around a half hour to 45 minutes after the first low battery indicator so current draw from the coil doesn't seem to lengthen or shorten the amount of time after the initial low battery warning.

from page 10 in my eBook........Some detector makes and models use an unregulated battery voltage for transmission. This results in a loss of detection depth as the battery discharges. Not so with the X-TERRA. The X-TERRAs are capable of using 1.5 volt AA alkaline, 1.5 volt AA carbon, 1.5 volt AA non-rechargeable lithium, 1.2 volt AA NiMH rechargeable or 1.2 volt AA NiCad rechargeable batteries.
Regardless of which type of cells you use, know that the internal voltage of the X-TERRA is regulated all the time. As such, you can keep detecting with your X-TERRA until the batteries are used up, without any loss of performance. However, I

MEV, I've tested it many a times, you will get MAX depth right up until the batteries die......
