hand held pinpointers

I think the garett pro pointer is light and takes a lickin, cant beat them,i just saw one on here for 80.00 i would jump on it

Got a couple garrett pro pointers. Once I used one, I had to get two *(one for spare). They work great, save alot of time, have great battery life and seem to be very tough.

I also agree that the Garrett Pro Pointer is an excellent probe. I recently switched to the Sun Ray X-1 for my E-Trac, however there are pros and cons between the two, and I think they are both top-of-the-line pin pointers. My son inherited my Garrett Pro Pointer as an upgrade from his Automax Precision v4, and there's no question that the Garrett is WAY better. Better range (about 3 inches), and it lets you know as you are getting closer to the target. it has a LED light, it vibrates, it's waterproof, and it's relatively small. If you're concerned about the weight (or cost) of the Sun Ray, I would highly recommend you get the Garrett Pro Pointer.

I used a sunray in-line probe for a while. It was heavy and the cords were super annoying.

Then I got a garrett propointer earlier this year. Wow, what a difference! Buh-bye cords!! :wiggle:
