Happy with my new Simplex

Found my first silver coin (1951 dime) after maybe 15 total hours of use, over the past few weeks.

Love finding the Canadian dimes what kind of signal did you get?

Congratulations! It's always a pleasure to find older coins and silver, and the Simplex + is a very capable detector to do it with. My biggest problem is that we're moving into more favorable detecting weather and I have access to the very littered sites I enjoy hunting, and most of those just don't get along well with the big 11" DD coil. Most of the farm fields are now being prepped and planted so those open-area searches are out until fall. I need a good smaller-size search coil for my Simplex + ... soon! Most of the places I search can produce silver coins, but 50 to 100 years older than your recent recovery.

I really enjoy the comfortable weight and balance of this device, especially with the 'simplicity' of adjustment and surprisingly impressive in-the-field performance. I hope to have a smaller-size coil or two for it before I head to some out-of-town / state detecting outings in 5 to 8 weeks. I hope you continue to enjoy your Simplex + and also continue to recover more silver coins. I'm curious which search mode and settings you're using.

Nokta Makro has announced they are going to soon release three new coils for the Simplex+. Two smaller coils and one larger coil. I hope the coils are soon released, but right now, the Covid-19 shutdown is keeping me at home. Dilek (from Nokta MAkro) has said the plant is still running and they are working.
