Hard cases or rifle cases for metal detector transport

Confetrit

I was wondering what hard cases yall use for transporting your metal detectors that won't break the bank. These would be for a minelab equinox and xterra elite, separate cases of course. I have researched some online and came across the Flambeau boxes, well known for tackle boxes, etc. Has anyone used this brand box or case by chance, and if so what are your thoughts? Thanks, Kevin

Most any gun case works well.
Though you have to reshape or replace the foam to the shape you need.
I'd take my machine to a decent gun shop and CK the depth and room for accessories.
Like extra coils. Pinpointer and such.
Water proof would be nice.

Thanks. I found 2 on Amazon made by Flambeau after watching a video. We used them this past week and packed them and transported them to Tybee Island. These cases fit the Equinox and my Xterra elite great. No having to cut the foam or anything. Nothing moves around and the detectors stay in place and are protected. The cases are hard plastic and seems that it would hold up well and protect your detectors. The foam inserts both top and bottom fit the case snug and keeps things in place. We packed both cases with the detectors, rod shafts, 2 coils each, and the arm cuffs. We have a separate bag we use for the headphones. So if anyone is searching for a transport case for travel for either the Equinox or the Xterra elite or the pro, this case will work well for you, and they are fairly affordable for approx. $ 60.00, in my opinion well worth the investment to protect your equipment. The only thing is that they are not waterproof, but other than that we were really pleased with these cases.
