Has anyone else had this same problem fitting the Sunray probe?

Hi

Just bought a 2nd hand probe which stated that it fitted the E-trac.However, the top shaft only goes down about 2 inches into the bottom shaft and then won't go any further

Advice gratefully received!!

Thanks

After modifying my upper shaft (so I could run the cable within) I found that I had created the same scenario..I can no longer telescope the shaft without mashing the cable where it exits. If I choose to run the cable outside the tube.(as the instructions suggest..) All is well...

Does the middle rod have a square end on it If so it is made for an Explorer XS and could damage your E-Trac cam lock HH

Most pics I've seen of this being used on a E-Trac or Explorer show the coil cable running on the outside of the rod.

Your experience may be why its run that way.
