Has anyone removed the protective film from their X-Terra LCD screen?

On page 11 of the X-Terra manual it says, "The LCD window has a protective film affixed to prevent scratching. This may be removed when the detector is fully assembled." I can't see where this protective film begins or ends.

and easy to pull away. Maybe yours had already fell off inside the box, might give that a check and see. If your screen is clear, it's off already. If not, I can't imagine it being hard to remove by using the edge of your fingernail to peel it up.

I agree with Mike as one should know either way...simply a protective screen for shipping...my guess it was never put on or fell off which would be hard to do unles the cover was faulty. I think your good to go as screen would not be clear with cover on..
