Eventful weekend. Hiked and then had to go into town to run errands yesterday. Last night I went with friends to First Friday in Downtown Gadsden. That's where they shut down the main street (Broad Street) the first Friday of every month and have lots of entertainment, some mighty fine food vendors, and a lot of other cool stuff going on. Today I'm off to Trade Day, will then make a very short appearance at a friend's baby shower, and after that I'll head home to watch the Alabama/LSU game. It's all on the line with this one and I'm holding my breath. Bama hasn't made a very good showing the past couple of games. They were off last Saturday so I'm hoping a little rest will be to their advantage. LSU can be tough (and tricky)! I like LSU, but not today! Hopefully, I can catch another game before the night is over. Sunday will be church day and then off to spend the rest of the day at Homestead Hollow. The "Holler" has three festivals each year and I HAVE to go to them all. lol Arts and crafts, demonstrations of old time crafts too (soap making, quilting, candle making, a working moonshine still, etc.), entertainment, and some of the best food you'll ever put in your mouth! This festival is called, Christmas in the Country, so the theme will be Christmas, of course. I've also go to throw in work and sleep. :-( Wishing I could find a way to fit in Christmas Village in Birmingham, as well as our local flea market - but it looks impossible. I hope all of you are having a wonderful and blessed weekend, too.

Golly sounds like you are going to be busy and tired. Have fun and don't eat to much or spend to much.

Hi Lisa, Sounds like you will be busy enjoying seeing things and eating! When I was your age that would have been my choice. too! But wouldn't be able to get around and enjoy what I used to do! Take it easier and don't overdo, or it will catch up with you and then you might be like me, as I am now! God Bless! Ma Betty
