has the dust cleared on the new f75ltd2?

I'm still looking at picking one up. Have all the bugs been worked out? Are the units consistent from unit to unit? Also what is the latest software version? From what I can tell it is 1/15/15. Is this correct?

Also what do I need to check in order to assure my unit is a proper working unit?

Your finds pouch.

I believe the two concerns have been the "mama" but in pinpointing in the 2, 2H & 2L tones. I haven't experienced it but from what I read if you try and pinpoint (in DISCR, of course) in those tones it makes a "mama" sound rather than increasing pitch tone. I don't believe any new units had that - just returned upgrade requests (I'm not sure on that, though).

Second seems to be a loss of depth in All Metal. With a new unit you won't know. You should hit a quarter in a clear air test or placed on clear ground at least 12" from the coil. 16" if the angels smile in the boost process.

Alot of the 11/14 dates had the mama pinpoint bug.mine did and it was a new unit not an upgrade.first texas replaced it with a new 1/15 unit and everything is fine now..

1/15/15 is not a software version. It is the date the software was installed.
All new updated F 75's have the same two software versions 9.0 and 9.1.

Odd behavior on some units was due to differences in hardware of failed hardware.

That's what I was told when I called FT.
