Hate to keep repeating myself...But 2 more gold rings!

REVIER

Found a nice14k gold ring on Wednesday, went back to the same park with the same set-up...the F2 and the sniper coil.
Today was the day I was going to go super slow, overlap heavily, and dig all signals, trash included.

I just had a feeling there was more jewelry around here, and I was right.

Found tons of clad, a bunch of junk, but one 35 high nickel signal, which is 99% of the time a sta-tab, was not a tab.
10k gold ring!

About a minute later I hit a 24, usually a ketchup packet or sports drink cap insert.
Again, not trash on this particular signal...a small 14k heart ring.

This never happened to me before, and I am still flying.

There is a reason I decided long ago to become a dig it all kind of hunter, and that reason was the hope of days like today!

Love reading about great finds.............. Congratulations

Sure making the case for small coils. Excellent work.

 :please: very nice finds and tid post observations. Also, good for you for the "feeling" more was there! A fellow has to have confidence in their gear and location to work everything right. Way to go!

Those are some nice rings REVIER. That is sure some good detecting. Fine job......Z

Thanks all!

This park has been hunted before, but I suspect the coils were too big to get around the trash and masking was a problem when I used the 10" coil my first time here.
I am very good with my F2 and can always pick out some good signals, but when you have 2 or more different targets under the bigger coil that can be a problem, and that happens a lot in the trashy areas of this site.

After switching to the sniper coil and moving slow, many more targets showed themselves, something I have found to be true at several different sites I have hunted in the last month with this coil.
Sites that were both new to me and a few that I had hunted in the past and thought I had cleaned up pretty well with several detectors and bigger coils...but I was wrong.
I don't think I could have found these three rings with my bigger coils, especially if I was not digging everything, because there was trash next to every one of them.

The three rings were all found within about 15 yards of each other, the ones in this post within 3 feet.
All were found in a very small strip of grass that is between 2 small basketball courts at a local park.
I figured this area is where the players would sit and take a break, maybe their girlfriends too, and I have found lots of clad and some great jewelry at this same exact b-ball court grass sideline area at this and a few other sites just like it, lately, including a nice 28 gram silver rope necklace I posted about a few weeks ago.
I hit these type of areas thoroughly every time I come across them...always will.

I am not done yet...I bet there is even more to be found at this great site.

Love the pictures of the gold :beers:

Two more spots with gold potential there.

I am not done with this area by a long shot.
Might go back tomorrow and search a little more.
