Have a dumb question..

Make that two. On the Deus, how do you add your own programs. Do you chose one of the preset programs , make adjustments and then how do you save it?. I read the manual but its kind of confusing to me. The e trac was easier to program imo. Second is the coil water proof or not. I want to use it at the beach in the shallow salt water. I don't see it being dunk in the water in the vids. Kind of leary about dunking it in the water since these coils are expensive to replace. Thanks for all your help. Albert

The coil is waterproof but since it's wireless you will have to use an antenna to get the signal close enough to the remote to work. The XP waterproof kit contains all the stuff you need.
As far as your own settings go , you can either modify existing programs and save them in one of the positions after number 10 or do your own from scratch and save them by following the prompts on the screen. You cannot delete or permanently change any of the factory preset programs 1 - 10.

While there are more adjustments that can be made I think overall the Deus is easier to set up a disc setting and user preferences than the etrac with it's disc patterns. The notching and tone ID choices that are available on the Deus make it very versatile much like the tone ID bins on the CTX but it takes some effort and study to set them up.

go watch the videos on youtube they make it ez :detecting:

& yes the coil is waterproof but in more than an inch or 2 you will need the waterproof setup
works great

There are open slots for new programs or you can take one of there programs and change it and safe it..I don't have the time to tell you more but PM me
