Have an unspoken prayer request that I need a straight answer from God about.....

Was woke up by a phone call with a question needing answered by me! There are many pros and cons concerning what they want from me, but I am unsure if this would be the right thing to do for them or for me, as I still am in debt and ill most of the time! I love God in Jesus' name and have been called upon many times to do this very thing ever since my ex and I were married and want to please God by helpiong others but they seem to be bringing on their own troubles in many ways! Will tell you more later when I am able to do so! Thank you all very much, for you have prayed for me so much and I certainly do appreciate everyone's prayers! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thank you, again, for the prayers! Nothing new as of right now, except I couldn't sleep much last night and up earlier than usual! I guess it is stress, as I've been through a lot the last few years with Cliff's illness and mine also! Please keep praying and May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I know Mike but sometimes we have to be patient with some people, especially our relatives, to help save their marriage and keep the children safe from a split of the parents! They both are still young and if I do have an answer from God one way or the other, I will still do my best to help when I can and able to do so, but my being a Christian and him being around his grandpa (my ex) and listening to all his lies they don't come nor call me very often, only when they needs help! I would feel really bad if I can help save them and their 2 little girls from being separated and I didn't do something! I do pray....but we need to put prayers to action by showing love....even if it is tough love depending on the nature of those needing help! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Betty - I sure will pray for your needs here. Personally, I don't respond to people who call on the phone - no matter who they might be. If the problem is important enough they can see me face to face. Steve in so az

Thanks Steve! I think they are in a bind right now, financially, and need a place to stay that would be cheaper for them and be able to save money and buy a home! I told him to come and talk to me and I would think about it, but he hasn't called or come, but with being Memorial Holiday, he may have had to work more at KFC and feed those who ordered food or ate out! I will wait upon him and if I don't hear from him and his wife, then I'll know that is God's answer to not get involved, for my health nor finances could take the extra strain of two little ones age (less than one year) and a two year old! I'm just not able to deal with younguns around me all the time anymore! This ole gray mare or (Ma) isn't what she used to be many long years ago! But God knows my heart is willing even if my body and mind aren't able to do so! :) I don't intend to be a door mat but I do like to help, for I know how difficult it has been for me and how the economy is today! We all need a helping hand at one time or another! May God Bless you and Nancy! Amen! Ma Betty

Thank you DDL and don't worry, I will be cautious, but since I am so close to the Lord and neither are saved, I think they will try to do something else and only choose me and my home as their last resort! I could use some help in getting my house completely finished and furniture moved around, out or sold, as I cannot do anything much by myself! Even can hardly walk when carrying some clothes up and down stairs! The sciatic nerve in my left hip really cried out to me, today, when I went down stairs to the basement! I'm thinking about a way to be able to help us both! His wife has a very good job as a manager of the deli-department (I believe) in a large grocery store! He intended to start back to college but don't know if he has, because I seldom hear from him and only learn anything through my son, David, and my daughter, Tami! I will listen to the Lord by God's Holy Spirit and I'm sure all work out for everyone! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Thank you, Liz, and nothing has changed as yet! Haven't seen nor heard from them since the phone call waking me up! I have no doubt God will work it all out for my and their good and for His purpose! God is sooooo goooood all the time! Amen! Ma Betty

I read the topic title and gave an open ended prayer. It would appear that we can say a more pointed prayer now.

If I vaguely understand what is going on and it is about grandchild and family wanting a place to live that would be cheap then; I have unsolicited advice.
1) Charge rent
2) Discuss expectations
3) Get a contract... In writing

Only my ill informed opinion, Ma. I will pray.

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff! Yes, I know the questions I need to ask and the answers they need to give for me to help me! But I haven't heard anything from them, so they may be seeking help another way! I will have rules to abide by, but I really don't think their living with me, even for a short time, will work out for either us! And yet I will let God guide us and work it out for mine and their good and for His purpose! He knows what it will take for them to cry out to God and be saved in Jesus' name and then gain wisdom in how to handle finances and to live a godly life for themselves and their two small daughters! God never fails so I trust in Him by leaning on Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty

Sounds to me like you have got your answer already, but we will pray anyway.

Oh me, oh my, wee ones are a handful for me now-a-days and not much energy to keep going but I like to see them visit once in awhile and then leave and go back to their own home! Not used to child's playful noises and chattering any more, so would be difficult for me to get used to if they did live with me for awhile, but I have High Hopes in Jesus Christ that all things will work out the best for them and me, too! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for hearing and answering prayers for our good and for Your purpose! Amen!
 Ma Betty
