Haven't Been Out Detecting, For A Few Days......

How about all of you? Find anything interesting? I wan't to give an explanation, as to why I haven't posted any pictures of my finds lately. The daughter, of a friend of mine, got a job as a teacher in Florida and part of the job description required her to do a 'School Paper' regularly. She didn't have a camera and couldn't afford one, with the cost of the move coming up. So ...... I gave her my Fuji camera with the 30-300mm lens so she'd be able to fulfill her duties required of her. She's delighted and I'm happy to have been able to help with her need. One of these days I'll purchase a new 'pocket' digital camera to post pictures again. Does any of you have a recconmendation, from experience, toward any particular brand name of camera that does a good job?

is a Canon Power Shot A 560. I love this camera, had it about 3 years now, my son gave it to me for Christmas one year. It's very easy to use, never any problems. Between that & the Photobucket site online everything is great.

As for detecting, I have been out but no great shakes. Lots of recent coins. Going out later this morning - maybe gold in my future :) Here's my old button collection, Steve in so az

Hi Martin, I hope and pray you find a good camera to buy! Mine is a Cannon Power Shot A560...but since this is my first and only digital camera...so cannot say how good it is compared to others! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Hey, Martin! I am interested in this thread also. Travis has wanted a cheap point and shoot for awhile now...my big old DSLR is just too bulky and hard to deal with for everday shots. I haven't done much research yet, but the trend for more MP's and less quality seems aparent to me.

In the research I've done thus far, the Canon's are very appealing. I like the 'AA' battery capability, the SD card storage, and the reputation for quality. On the other hand, I may take a long look at a Fuji too. I need to get out and see what's available and for what price. The Canon A560 is nearly 2 hundred dollars and that's a bit pricey for my pocket book. I'm open to suggestions however.

I have not hunted much lately , way to dry and also working alot.

Hi Martin! Maybe you can search cameras on the Net and read about each one of their capabilites and prices and that way you will know more of what you might want when you do get out to look and possibly buy one for yourself Just a suggestion to help you from going to different stores or camera shops before you have knowledge concerning digital cameras! May God bless you with a good one at a good price for you! Amen! Ma Betty

Got two more rings, two charms and an ear ring.
