Haven't posted a hunt in a while.

I've only hunted once since Labor Day. Nothing but clad that day. Today I got a few silver jewelry items but both are small. One pendant with a white stone, .925, 2.5g. 925 wire ring. 1.5g. Check out the cool brass whistle! Never saw one of those posted before so I was pleased. It works great even though it was full of dirt. Some other cool stuff and the 'Hot Rod."

Just a few random thoughts I have had. More or less metal detecting related.

Fall is on it's way. It was cold last night and cool all day. Leaves are turning. I guess I'll have to start asking John how to Winter hunt.

I am still a bit miffed about that other forum. One or two of my favorite posters have stopped posting over here and I assume they're still posting over there.

Garrett customer service has been brought up a lot recently. My two cents is that Garrett is by far the best company I have ever dealt with.

You might recall I found a 10 gram 2009 High School Ring on Labor Day. I contacted both the ring company and the high school the next day. Justen's got back to me, eventually, and told me the ring was 76% Silver and 10% Platinum which means 1g of Platinum, also my first plat. They would not tell me the buyers name. The school did not return my email so I emailed again Monday and now when I try to email them comes back that my address is refused by their server. Try to do the right thing and what happens? I think I might try a newspaper ad and then toss it on my jewelry pile.

You guys and gals in Texas find someplace safe, warm, and dry.

Say a prayer for America, it's Patriot Day.
