Haven't posted a hunt in a while.

We have 5 straight days of rain in the forecast so I did something I haven't done in ages and hunted before work on a Wednesday. Nothing all that great. My usual mess of clad including a nice 11 quarter spill. A Kennedy half, which are as scarce as............ around here. A real cool Nautilus necklace and chain. Chain is mangled and not gold. Nautilus is accented with silver metal. Looks like solder. It is not silver. A key to the City, I think. Big, heavy and cool, but not silver either.

I'm sure I'll make it out this weekend in between raindrops.

Man I just love it when you few guys say... "nothing all that great"... "My usual mess of clad"... Come on my man look at your pile! You did awsome as usual. Some of us wish we could do that ALL the time. My one ball park I detect frequently, has an endless supply of clad and I enjoy a handful within an hour of detecting (thanks to my newly purchased Propointer).

Keep diggin' it up!

Good finds

I am not knocking anything. I use the word mess synonymously with the word bunch (mess of fish etc.) and clad is not all that great. Merely good. It does add up fast and buys some of the interesting things I wish I was finding. BTW, a half dollar is always a good find in my book. This one was only about 1 inch down and it had obviously been there for quite some time.

Watch those sites with endless supplies. My old favorite, close to home, site now is only a 30 coins is 2-3 hours site after I harvested 2000 plus clad coins from it over the course of two years. Also 2 gold rings. At least a dozen silver rings and one lone silver coin. I went there last week and was happy to see it is slowly resupplying itself. 33 coins in 2 hours plus two foreign coins.

I definitely don't have great hunts ALL the time. 10 of my first 11 hunts this year yielded fewer than 50 coins each. I tend to not post hunts where I find 20-30 coins but I have a lot of hunts like that. Maybe not a lot. A few anyway. That said. There are hunters who turn their noses up at clad. I never do.

Lets see some photos from your neck of the woods.

Clad can pay for stuff so I collect all I can.

Oh I was not mocking you or being negative I understood you clearly.

The park I hunt will never run out of coins and such it is a VERY BUSY PLACE. They have ball games constently, a yearly fair, voting, family get togethers, A small fair comes every year, a chilly cooking contest, football, softball, this place never goes dead! Sunday is my day to hunt he park. And right down the street is one of our resource parks with 2 playgrounds, tons of shelters that have parties every weekend, a battle of the bands, a yearly company picnic (mine), special events all the time

Give me the address and two weeks!

A find like that would be like finding a chest full of treasure. You know how it is with us rookies.
