Head phone question

I have a pair of Timberwolf Howler head phones, they work fine on the ace 250, a friends 1350 and when I flip the toggle switch, they work on serveral other brands of detectors. They will not work on my cxIII. Anyone know why? Thanks for any help. John Ps. they seem to work when plugged in half way, if that helps.

That's all I use....a "KOSS i20" which cost $6.00 and has a volume control inline. They have a lifetime warranty too!..... and did I tell you that they come in green.

That might not be a bad suggestion, but the howlers block so much outside noise I can hear with them better than others I have tried. Guess I spent too many years shooting skeet. A buddy suggested I get a mono to sterio connector and if Radio Shack has one, I am going to try that tonight. The headphones have a switch which I assume is mono/sterio switch which seems to work on all the other Garrett detectors I have tried . It seems odd it will not work on my cxIII. Good hunting to all!!! John

I got mine at a CD store called HMV. I'm not sue if all of the stors carry them. You might have to GOOGLE it or order direct from KOSS.

RADIO SHACK CONNECTOR ( STERIO TO MONO) SOLVED THE PROBLEM, HEADPHONES NOW WORK FINE. THE CONNECTOR COST 2.98, IF ANYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. :) JOHN
