Headhunter PI Question

I just bought a used DetectorPro headhunter PI. It Falses a couple of times on each swing. I made sure the cable was not loose and flopping around and I made sure that if wasn't picking up my scoop or anything else. Is this common for this detector? My White's PI is way more stable. With the Headhunter you have to cover everything three or four times to be sure there isn't a target there. I had a signal that gave me a good repeatable beep four times in a row. I hit it at another angle as in Xing the target and I didn't get a signal from the other direction. When I went back to the first direction where I was getting the good repeatable signal there was no signal anymore. Any ideas? I was hunting the wet sand in Florida so I don't think it's heavy minerization. The White's works great.

Hi Tom,
Try reducing the delay "Freq" a little "counter clock-wise" on the unit and reduce the threshold to a faint signal, This should help it operate a little better.
Make sure the batteries are fully charged, when weak they drive the HH Pi crazy.

Paul I had new Duracells and turning down the Freq. makes it less sensitive to small gold, but thanks. I'll give it a try.

Hi Tom,
You'll lose a little depth and may gain some back with the unit operating smoother.
If you ever consitter selling/trading the unit zip me an e-mail, I can always use another HH Pi.
