Anyone know of unusual detecting laws for New Mexico. I will be in Aztec, and I realize there are alot of national areas to stay clear of. Mainly concerned about regular areas along the way..Abandoned or old homesites? Thanks in advance for help and advise.

Hi Michael,
here is the address of a detecting club that is in Farmington:
Four Corners Treasure Seekers
608 E. 37th
Farmington, New Mexico 87401
They might be a ways from Aztec but they might have some information you could use or they might even have a member who lives in Aztec.
Wouldn't hurt to drop them a line.
I have a friend in Gallup who is trying line up some old places for me to hit when I visit him later this year.
Good luck and let us know how you do.
HH Randy
