Newbie to the SE here. I was wondering if any of you veteran SE hunters that live in the NH area or Newburyport MA area that use the SE would be up for a Friday afternoon 4/18 or Sunday 4/20 hunt to help me out a bit. I've got about 30 hrs now on the minelab explorer SE. I have been using factory settings with the 8" minelab coil. I've pretty much mastered the art of pulling old square iron nails and foil out of the ground but would like to find more of the good stuff. It would be nice to follow you and listen to what you think are good targets and any other help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if that works for any of you guys. I sure would appreciate it. Mike

Open up your ironmsk to 31 for starters. Go to ferrous sounds. Now lay down a variety of change on the ground and check the tones. Do this close to the coins and raise the coil while swinging to see the difference. This will give you a better mental picture of the coin sounds then someone trying to explain them to you.
While doing this, check the location of the cross hair for each coin. These will be examples of tones as things change some with the soil conditions.
I may see you at the show. Sat I will be working the Minelab booth with Sandy from Minelab USA.

Thanks Bob for the help. I've been working with the SE quite a bit.....got about 35 hours on it now and hunting in iron mask has helped out tremendously. The coins are starting to come. See you at the show!
