Headphone Jack

Does any company make a 1/4" to 1/8" mono to stereo jack, that can be used with the 3030, so that ear buds can be used when detecting? It would need to shut off the external speaker. Thanks for your help.

I got one at Radio Shack. I use earbuds on my dirt hunts in the summer. Got to be plenty all over the net (ebay, amazon, etc).

Havent seen one that changes the sizes...

Scratch my last response. The adapter I have works like you want with the earbuds and turns off the external speaker. Unfortunately there's no part number on it.

Now if someone could find a right angle one that would be awesome. I had spent a little bit of time looking one up one day but couldn't find it.

walmart sells some, tho I cant cite a specific model. search the wm site for 'audio adaptor'. they seem to run in the $5-6 range.

Hello TCP,
Like you I was in need of a !/4 to 1/8 in Stereo Headphone Jack as my Koss UR-30 Headphones stopped working . I was lucky to have one sitting in my Sony Noise Cancelling Headphone case look good quality gold coloured.
You might want to try getting onto the Sony website they might have them available?
I have posted 2 photos for you to check it out?

Are you sure you need a 1/4" stereo to 1/8" mono conversion jack? Why mono?
Depending on what you're trying to do, using a mono jack in a stereo system could damage the detector's audio circuitry.

1/4 male stereo to 1/8 female stereo conversion jacks are much much more common which is what i think you need.
The Shack (if you can find one these days), big box electronics stores, etc. has em.
