Headphone Question

I'm gettg new phones to use on a Sovereign GT and an E Trac ....does anybody have a preference between the Gray Ghost Ultimates , and the SunRay Golds ? ....and why ? .......Have you tried both sets ? .......Thanks, Jim

I have a hearing loss and there is a difference between each ear and I like the extra fine tuning that the Rats and the Pro Golds allow me. I had Black Widows before and the adjustments were too far apart for me. One ear was either too soft or too loud. I could never seem to get them balanced for comfortable hearing. I used the Rats for years before trying the Pro Golds and now I have 2 pairs of Rats and a pair of Golds. The sounds/tones are different but still pretty close and they both work for me.

I basically have the same problem. I have a set of Grey Ghost and a set of Koss headphones. I prefer the Grey Ghost over the Koss

I tried the Grey Ghosts and they were real flat in audio quality, not to mention uncomfortable to me. From what I hear about the Sun Rays I would go for those.

I'm hearing about too many issues with the leather cracking on the SunRays .....I'm leaning toward the Black Widow's now ......Good Isolation with them ....Jim

I have 2 sets of sunrays, one is about 2 1/2 years old and well used(3-4days a week) i hunt in all weathers, rain hail snow and sunshine, they stay in the car permenantly, the other set about 8 months, no problems on either with the cups, although i had a problem with the jack( probably my fault)
I don't take particularly good care of them either, take em off and put them in the trunk till next use. I have also been out in weather not fit to put the cat out in, no problems at all, they have the famous full sunray boots on all switches. The newer set have a different cable to the first, less rigid coiling and slightly thiner but i think better, there was a run that had cable problems at the jack which has been fixed. If either break i'll buy another set without question.

Thanks Kered ... I'm not sure if they're making the new ones out of a different leather or ? .....If you go down to the SunRay forum and look, you will see some threads on phones with ear cup problems .......Thanks, Jim
