I think there might be a problem with the socket and possibly the machine also. I just got the detector Friday from Kellyco. I noticed that when I turned the detector on, sometimes the numbers on the small display would show when I passed it over a target laying on the floor. It started working when I pulled the pinpointed button. I don't  know if you should have to do that every time you turn it on.  get it oh dear well at least I think I am funny, but really I have no idea about the pinpoint button thing, but theres something going on with the ph socket so if your not that way inclined to have a look , which I would but that's me.
