Not to critical but I use the original Greyghosts (not the more expensive N.D.T.'s) mainly because the jackplug is waterproof molded plastic at a right-angle.
The Beachscan has its headphone socket under the armrest on the left hand side and if your right handed a long straight plug can get in the way and causes more wear on the wire.
