I am thinking of getting a new set of headphones for my 705 .Are most all of the ones for MD compatible with the 705? The ones that come with the unit the foam keeps coming off. I would like something with a little more quality.Help!!!!

Welcome to the forum. I have killer bs and they have a switch to make them work with any detector. Grey ghost will work also.

got my 705 last month and love it. Your right the ones that come with it are trash! I have a set I use from another detector that have each ear adjustable volume... there good.... Just found a great deal on a set of gray ghost NDT on e bay and waiting for them to come. I gave the ones away with the soft foam cheepies that came with mine. Good luck

I second the KB's Great headphones!!!!

Welcome to the site. I really like my Killer B's WASP. Very good headphones and the dual volume control is nice to have, Beale.

Thanks for the info looks like I am going shopping for some Killer B's.I would hate for the UPS man to forget my name.

One thing I'd suggest considering before buying a pair. Especially since you indicate you're going to order them. And that is the FIT. I have a large melon, size 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 cap size. As such, many of the sets available today are just too tight on my ears. That is one of the reasons I like my Gray Ghost Originals or my Gray Ghost NDT's. In addition to having the stereo/mono switch, coiled cord, dual volume controls, 1/4 inch jack, replaceable ear pads, etc. etc. etc, they have a large enough "headband" to wear all day without feeling like they are putting the pinch on my ears or head. Now I ain't saying the B's or SR or any of the others aren't as good of sound reproduction. I'm just saying they didn't fit me as well. JMHO HH Randy

Thanks for the good info I do have a large melon. Most ball caps I take out almost all the way.Cant stand a ball cap too tight gives me a headache. The nearest MD shop to me is Plainwell Mich.about 75-80 miles south .I am up by Hardy dam Mich. This Forum has sure been a help to me.What did people do before computers? sure makes life easy
