Headphones Question

Hi everyone
What kind of headphones do you use with you're MD.What should I look for in a decent set?Is it possible to get a good pair for 50 or 60 Bucks. Thanks for any input you input.I have an ace 250...pat :usan:

To be honest, I haven't noticed any need to have anything other than just the small, cheap headphones with the Ace. In fact the sounds are so distinct that about the only thing I could think of is if someone may notice some "scratch" or glitch in the trash sounds that I haven't noticed. Plus, I can wear the small pads NEXT to my ears and still hear the sounds distinctly PLUS any unwelcome visitors or predators.

You can spend a fortune on headphones if you so choose but I use cheapies. I had some costly ones and they went tits up so I just use the cheap ones and they work just fine. All you're doing is listening for a beep not listening to the Boston Symphony. :)

try the garretts reasonably inexpensive and they work great.plus they will keep your ears warm this winter.and they have volume control

... remind me of me.
I dont hear to many people say "tits up," since I left the Navy. But I like it.

As for headphones. I find I gravitate more to the moderately price digiphones, these days.

I especially like the ones made for digital audio players, those having a neck band. They fit in your ear, dont completely obliterate outside noise yet have excellent audio response. I can wear a stocking cap or two over them and go out in the cold.
Besides, they don't make you look like some nerdy geezer as the more conventional earcup phones do.

I get the ones tha fold and stow easily. They normally cost about $20.

....you buy a set with volume control otherwise that loud Ace 250 will blow your eardrums out. I am still not a fan of headphhones but I do use them when detecting close to a busy road or near construction or in the cold to keep my ears warm.

Well, at least one other thing that we're sure of.....

Go to Radio Shack - get the stereo 1/4 to 1/8 stereo adapter. Then go to Wally World - they have a cheap Koss w/volume control for $4.95 - works good.
Also have a $25 MD headphones w/volume for cooler weather.
