Headphones Question

Why do my Depthmaster 2001 superphones with the Stereo cord
work on my other detectors that have a stereo output but not on my
X-terra 705? My Black Magic Headphones work on the X-terra Just fine....

Stereo, Mono or Stereo/Mono? My Minelab detectors require the Stereo/Mono switch on my Gray Ghosts to be in the down position. My Whites detectors require the toggle be in the up position. Funny thing is, when I plug in a set of actual stereo headphones (not specifically for a detector) they work in both the Minelabs and the Whites. If your "other detectors" happen to be like my White's, it must be something in the cord of your Superphones. Although I've not owned a pair of Superphone 2001's, here is some information I got from the product review in 1998......

The Superphone 2001 is equipped with a standard 1/4 inch stereo plug. There are three different plugs available, depending on the specific make and model of your detector. Since the cords are removable, you can purchase the appropriate cords if you have more than one detector rather than buying multiple sets of headphones.

Hey Doug,

Here's a thought...did you try using a stereo to mono adaptor for use with the Minelab? Just using reverse psychology.
