Man I am having withdrawals bad!!!!:surrender::sadwalk::unsure::thumbdown:
I need to go diggin real soon!!!!!!! My last time out was Nov. 13th!
I got to find out how far south the frost line is!!!
This is what I miss!

Lord please let me go diggin before the year is over! :detecting:

Actually, the weather is supposed to be in the low 40's today and maybe higher tomorrow and Sunday. I have off today (but I have to go in for oral surgery at 9am for a broken tooth). Doubt I'll do anything today but rest up... but tomorrow and Sunday is a different story. Perfect conditions for the beach this weekend, but my shoulder has been feeling better since I got the cortisone shot two weeks ago and I don't want to push it. Think I'll meet up with another guy I met on line and dig some relics in the woods :)

Hang in there... starting next week, the days start getting longer. Spring is coming :)

Last I hunted was December 2nd. The ground is frozen for a long time with no thaw in sight.

Frustrated and Frozen in Schoolcraft

I was going through my pics yesterday of my finds for 2007...remembering where each was found, with what detector, if I was detecting alone or with Warthog.

I just got the biggest laugh. First though let me say this...even though it is winter we can watch videos on YouTube and SCDiggers site so our winters can still be entertaining and when summer comes will ya want to sit and watch videos of someone else detecting or do your own? Well, when summer comes with this video you can remember how you sat around thinking...I wish spring would get here...hope you enjoy this as much as me (btw what he has...I have one too - and it works

if the U.P I was up there for 2 - 4 years tours of duty with the Air Force at K.I.Sawyer AFB near Gwinn.

I can understand the frustration. Now I am a troll living below the Bridge (Houghton Lake).

Pete,

Schoolcraft like 20 miles west of Mike Walker. S of Kalamazoo. I had emailed you before. My mom has a place near The Quest. I use to go to dances in the old school you recently hunted.

I told you last summer to plan your winters down here with me ! You could have been out with me today for 5 hours digging :)

On a serious note - look for some protected places and wait for the cold/snow to slacken. Having never been in cold country as a detectorist I imagine there might be places like this?

In Arizona! :)

a Boy Scout camp type setting where they had several ramadas with picnic tables all under a roof. It was old - somewhere in Illinois - and had all dirt floors. I was thinking of these type places. Or use your plow to clear away stuff :) Steve
