Hello Gang...Thanks for all the input that i have got from you folks the past week. I took advantage of the tax free weekend that just passed in Massachusetts and purchased an X-Terra 705. I'm looking forward to having fun with this machine. My previous machine was the X-Terra 30 and have had some good finds with it. Took the 705 out yesterday for a short time at a location where i have found quite a few silver coins. I was using the 6 inch DD 18.75 kHz coil and had some finds in trashy areas that i have detected b4 with the X-Terra 30. Mostly clad, but the 705 worked well..Wicked quiet machine so far. Well thanks to all the posts that i have read and your help. I look forward to being a member and chatting with you all. You all seem like a good group of folks!

Welcome! Excellent choice going with the 705. I imagine living in your part of the country, some really great finds will be coming. Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. Going out for the first full day of detecting with my new machine. Will let ya all know the outcome. I do like the 705 already! Have a good day all.
