New to the hobby, I got a Bounty Hunter Platinum @ $300 initial investment.
I live in south Alabama, Baldwin county about 30 minutes drive from Gulf Shores.
Been there detecting in beach sands a few times now and the best find was a wartime wheat penny made of steel (1934 I think).
Also went to a local park where county fairs were held for many years, but only found trash items.
I'd like to tag along on a hunt if there's anyone else here from this area, just to ask questions and learn a few things.
Anyhow I enjoy seeing the pix of finds!
