Hello Everyone..............Got a question on the F4.........

Ivan

New member
I've owed it for almost a year and used it a lot..............but it just can't find gold. No rings, small gold large gold...by gold I mean jewelry. Owned a White's coin master Pro and I found gold rings with it. My hunting buddy is using the small yellow Garrett...sure it attracts wasps.........but he finds gold !! When we go to our usual spots, right along side of me he hits gold. The frequency on the F4 must be mainly for coins... find lots of them and a fair amount of silver. But my question still stands, Is anyone having any luck on gold rings and things.... with this detector??Or is it just not up to the job. I'm getting ready to dump it. PS...................I do use low disc settings just above nail disc.... but to no avail!!!

Sorry guys.....................It's the F2 repeat F2 that I am asking about Omit the F4 , been a long day.

I found my first gold ring last year with my F2. It was about 3'' down in a grown over gravel parking lot. I can't remember what the numbers were though. was using the 8'' stock coil. It was a small ladys ring.

Found the class ring...came in zinc.
Found the other 10 k ring...came in tabs.

Gold is rare, and you have to swing over it to find it.
My F2 found these easily when I swung over them.
Keep swinging.

Have you tried to air test it. I used a small necklace, ring, and an ear ring with mine and it signaled on all of them. If it is air testing/signaling gold then you know the machine is fine and you have just not gone over a piece. Do you dig all targets? Like other said gold can show up as tabs or foil which a lot of people ignore,or discriminate out all together.
